Interceptive Orthodontics

Yearly Checkup

Examinations

We perform orthodontic examinations for children, as early as 7 years old, to help identify potential dental issues before they become more serious. This allows for timely intervention to guide the proper development of the teeth and growth of the jaws, potentially reducing the need for extensive future treatment.

Appliances

Appliances may be recommended by our orthodontists following thorough examination to address dental or underlying skeletal issues in children. Treating these concerns early can set the stage for simpler future treatment, as well as boost confidence in growing children.

Growth Modification

Skeletal jaw issues identified in children can be treated during ages 7 to 11 years using special appliances to re-direct jaw growth while the facial sutures are still responsive and the jaws are still developing. Our orthodontists may deliver treatments to promote more harmonious facial development in growing children.
